Stephanie Greenwood, Board Member

Stephanie has lived and worked in Newark since 2007, serving in city government for eight years before coming to the Victoria Foundation in 2014. As a city staffer, she helped coordinate a countywide response to the foreclosure crisis and secured and managed major federal grants for reclaiming abandoned houses. She then had the honor of serving as Newark’s second Sustainability Director and led the creation and adoption of Newark’s first Sustainability Action Plan. She continues to serve as a policy adviser to the current Sustainability Officer. At Victoria, Stephanie focuses on support for efforts to improve the health of Newark’s environment, local job creation, and home-grown neighborhood revitalization. She holds an undergraduate degree from Harvard University and a Masters of Public Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University. When not at work, she enjoys exploring the neighborhood and being out in nature with her daughter Julia, reading as much as possible, and cooking for and eating with friends.
