OUR ORGANIZATION

The Center for Economic and Environmental Partnership (CEEP) was founded in 1996 as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit New York corporation by its current Chairman, Ira Rubenstein, then Executive Director of the Environmental Business Association of New York State, Inc. (EBANYS). The Center for Economic and Environmental Partnership was founded to fund and sponsor programs promoting development of an effective and competitive environmental industry to advance development of sound environmental business policies and programs in New York State and beyond. CEEP was created to provide a locus for business, environmentalists, and community members to collaborate and create a safe space for challenging conversations.

Mission

To serve as a bridge between economic and environmental perspectives. We aim to encourage evaluation, development, and implementation of policies and programs supportive of the environment and the environmental industry.

Vision

To build a framework of equitable and sustainable business practices that are fiscally responsible and replicable across industries and governmental organizations.

We do this by

  • Catalyzing collaborative efforts among industry, government, trade organizations and associations, institutions of higher learning, and the public;

  • Sponsoring educational programs that advance the development and utilization of cutting-edge technologies, knowledge, and business practices related to environmental and equitable growth

  • Fostering processes that contribute to the formation and implementation of integrative and creative public policies.
