Peter Szabo, Board Member

Peter Szabo is Principal of Bloomingdale Management Advisors, LLC, a management consulting firm he founded in 1998. In partnership with his foundation and nonprofit clients, Peter develops strategies, devises and implements programmatic initiatives, and conducts evaluations that lead to adaptive action. He has had a particular commitment to, and concentration of engagements in, the nature conservation sector.

Before founding his independent consulting practice, Peter worked at New York Consulting Partners, formulating manufacturing strategy and guiding cost reduction efforts for consumer products companies, and at the Connecticut Department of Transportation, where he served as Deputy Commissioner for Policy and Planning and Executive Assistant to the Commissioner.

Peter earned a B.A. in History and Political Science from the University of Rochester in 1985. He also holds a Master’s in Public and Private Management from the Yale School of Management and an M.A. in International Affairs from Yale University. He enjoys writing, the outdoors, gardening, and sports, and lives in New York City with his wife and two children.
